Nova Tissue Manchester, head shots and brand photography

Wandering round this factory in Manchester shooting brand photography for Nova Tissues’s new website was such good fun.

I shot the head shots, the process, the building and all of the products in my studio, it took 2 days. These images will now populate their website and social media for a long time to come.

A big fan of shooting brand photography, it’s lots of different disciplines. You might say shooting a tissue paper manufacturer would maybe not be such a visual thing but I find industrial processes very visual.

In my experience most people I come across don’t like being photographed which does sometimes make my job harder. I’ve worked out lots of tips and tricks to help people relax in front of the camera. I have to say everyone at Nova tissue were a joy to photograph. It’s testament to the happy atmosphere in this workplace. People genuinely seem happy to be there.

For the head shots I used my trusty Elinchrom Quadra portable studio flash system and my new Nikon prime 80 mm z mount lens. I even flew my drone in the factory.
